Unfortunately I am not able to accept insurance directly at this time, although I am committing to supporting families with documentation necessary for reimbursement by PPO health insurance or medical flexible spending or health savings accounts. Families with HMO or EPO insurance plans should be aware that their plans will not offer reimbursement for services rendered by an out-of-network provider.

As a result of the 2022 No Surprises Act, please be aware that you have the right to receive a good faith estimate of healthcare treatment costs. Your Good Faith Estimate will be uploaded to your client portal at the time that you schedule an initial appointment. However, you can ask our intake coordinator or your provider for this estimate before you schedule a service or at any other time during treatment. If you receive a bill over $400 more than your good faith estimate, you can dispute the bill. For more information regarding the good faith estimate and/or dispute process, see your good faith estimate or visit: https://www.cms.gov/nosurprises.

This is totally normal and also not to be overlooked or minimized! I recommend exploring with your tween/teen where their hesitancy might be coming from and consider if it is something that can be eased with more information or even scheduling a brief 15-minute call with me to get a sense of if they would be comfortable. However some tweens/teens may really not be interested and initiating services on their behalf can cause a power struggle that may leave them feeling frustrated, unseen, or even resentful.

It is so natural to want clarity about the length of mental health therapy however it truly is unique to each individual and tailored to personal needs. There is no fixed duration, as therapy evolves based on symptoms and progress. I will monitor development, involve parents and teens in treatment planning, and work collaboratively toward positive completion of therapy.
